On Sunday me, my family and a few other relatives went to Pahang for a one day mission trip.Woke up like 5 and went down to Damansara and joined my uncle in his naza with 4 other passengers. So it was like 9 of us in it.We took around 2 and a half or maybe lesser hours to reach Pahang.
Took around 30minutes to drive into the not-really-but-kinda-jungle area where the orang asli's lived. They actually live quite near to the main roads and stuff, but then the muslims started to buy the land and claim ownership so they were pushed so in.
There we met one of my aunt's husband who was there for a few days already. They've been here for quite a few times already, so they were just continue'ing their work in this area la.
We were hearing all about the things that's been happening and stuff.Amazing really.Hard to put into words.
One of it was there was this super tall old old tree that was the non-believer orang asli's item of worship. The top of the tree cracked into two and and side fell down. That happened before my uncle and the pastor there went to pray for that place. The next time they went, maybe a few days before, the other side of it fell down on the EXACT spot the first half fell on.My uncle then said that even the pawang/bomoh who brought them there all those times bowed and closed his eyes when they prayed.
The pastors, two of them are from Sabah. They brought their family down from there to Peninsular because no one wanted to do any ministry here. The thing is, they cannot live in this area. The government or something don't let.So the pastor will usually take an hour drive from somewhere else and come to this certain area everyday.Only being able to stay during the weekends to handle the church on Sundays.
The time finally arrived for the service to start. The "family band" played and some of my aunt and uncles gave thier testimonies. Was funny watching them all trying to translate everything and speak in bm.It ended eventually and we were to shake hands with every single one of them there.
Had our lunch there and ate babi hutan, yes, wild boar.Very nice.Oooh which reminds me of a story they told. You know how us christians go to minister to the people there, the muslims did it too. Most of them didn't wanna convert just because they wouldn't be able to eat babi hutan just because of the word babi there which aren't actually pigs. They even went to the extent and said "Nevermind la, they got exception. Can eat if they want" or something like that.Haha
